Top UFC welterweight Hector Lombard made an announcement earlier today saying that he has officially changed his fighter nickname. Lombard will now be known as ‘Hector “Showeather” Lombard’, rather than his old nickname of “Lightning”.
Lombard shared the news via his official Facebook page.
The name “Showeather” matches the name of his recently launched clothing brand, Showeather FC.
Lombard also stated that he is feeling better and back to training. An injury caused him to pull out of his bout with Dong Hyun Kim this Saturday in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 48, taking place in Macau. Tyron Woodley took his place and now faces Kim at the same event.
Lombard is looking to return soon, recently stating he would like to fight the winner of Rory MacDonald vs. Tarec Saffedine, who are fighting in the main event of UFC Fight Night 54 in Halifax this October.
