Wilson dropped down to 170-pounds at Fivestar Fight League 11 where he won the title against Jonathan Cowan and will now make the move back up to 185-pounds to take on Brakefield.

Brakefield (3-3) is coming off the first back-to-back losses of both his professional and amateur career. Most recently he lost to Jared McComb at Fivestar Fight League 11, as he was unable to continue due to an injury in between the first and second round.

“Mitey” was expected to take on Jared Revel at BFL 32 earlier this month, however was forced to pull out of that fight because of an injury.

Wilson (6-4) was riding a three-fight winning streak which got derailed by Cody Krahn at Fivestar Fight League 10 last November. Most recently the Fort St. John native bounced back from defeat by finishing Cowan at FFL 11 in front of his hometown crowd by TKO.

Wilson was expected to take on Matt Coble in the co-main event for the 170-pound title, however Coble was unable to cross the border to get into Canada.

The Brakefield vs. Wilson bout will now serve as the evening’s co-main event.

Fivestar Fight League 13 “Vindicated” goes down on October 3 from the Fort St. John Curling Rink.
