UFC middleweight Lorenz Larkin tweeted Saturday following his loss to Derek Brunson that it could be time to move down to welterweight, at 170 pounds.
Sorry everybody but I think it’s my time to listen to my coaches and team and drop to 170 sorry about the fight @ufc @ParadigmSM

Larkin (14-4, 1NC) is currently on a 3 fight losing streak and is 1-4 in the UFC. He lost to Brunson at UFC 177 on August 30, and earlier this year got knocked out by ranked middleweight Costas Philippou and lost a decision to Brad Tavares. His lone UFC win is against Chris Camozzi, who is also on a 3 fight losing skid. His last notable win was two years ago in Strikeforce, against now-welterweight Robbie Lawler.
Although Larkin hopes to move down to welterweight, but UFC President Dana White and the promotion could have other plans for him. A pink slip.
In his tweet above, it appears that his coaches and team were previously tempting him to move down weight divisions, and he finally is listening now.
