Two heavyweights, Soa Palelei and Daniel Omielańczuk are set to clash at UFC Fight Night 55 later this Fall.
UFC President announced the UFC would make their fourth appearance in Sydney, Australia on November 8th over the weekend. Palelei tweeted on Sunday night that he is fighting at the event.
Palelei (21-4) made a return to the UFC last year, and won 3 straight, finishing Nikita Krylov, Pat Barry and Ruan Potts all by TKO. On a three fight winning streak, he lost to Jared Rosholt in at UFC Fight Night 43 in June by decision.
Omielańczuk (16-4-1, 1NC) made his UFC debut just under a year ago and finished Nandor Guelmino in the third round. His 12 fight winning streak came to a saddening halt as he also fell short against Rosholt, losing to him by decision as well last April at UFC Fight Night 39.
The placement of the bout on the card is currently unknown.
Both fighters look to get back into the win column at UFC Fight Night 55, which takes place at the Allphones Arena in Sydney, Australia on November 8. The event is expected to stream live on UFC Fight Pass and will be part of a double header, as UFC Fight Night 46 will be taking place in Brazil later that day. The headliner of the card has not been officially announced yet, but ranked welterweight Hector Lombard is expected to headline the event. Tyron Woodley was the preferred fighter to take on Lombard, but Woodley does not want the bout whatsoever. The UFC is currently searching for a suitable opponent.
