Tito Ortiz vs. Stephan Bonnar headlines Bellator on Nov. 15th

|

Bellator will be hosting a Saturday show on November 15, same day as UFC 180, and they’ve brought two UFC hall of famers to headline.

Bellator CEO Scott Coker announced the bout live on Spike TV on Friday during ‘Bellator 123: Curran vs. Pitbull II’. The two exchanged words in the octagon and had to be seperated by commentator Jimmy Smith and fellow staff members.

Ortiz (17-11-1) returned to MMA following a two year retirement and took on Bellator’s middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko at the promotions inaugural PPV. He made his promotional debut in shocking fashion with an upset victory, submitting the middleweight champ with an arm triangle in the first round.

Bonnar (15-8) is also returning to MMA following a tow year retirement. He last met Anderson Silva in the main event of UFC 153. Bonnar would get finished in the first round and test positive for Drostanolone afterwards. This was not his first failed drug test. After the fight he would retire. Bonnar was still under contract with the UFC as of last week and would get released to have this opportunity.

This bouts placement is not confirmed, but main event is likely.

This event currently is not numbered, but it will take place on November 15 in San Diego, California.
