UFC Fight Night 52 is in the books, and boy did it live up to expectations alright.
UFC heavyweight fighter Mark Hunt was set to fight another fan-favorite, Roy Nelson in a 5-round main event war. Predictions were so close, neither of them were close to unanimously chosen to win. Some people said which ever knockout artist lands the first big punch will win. That is what happened tonight. Nelson was probably up one round going into the second, and a couple of minutes into the second round he threw a hard uppercut, and dropped Nelson and walked away. Nelson fell to his face for the second time of his 10 year career and the first time in his UFC run. Everyone was waiting for this very highly anticipated fight, and it delivered.
In the co-main event, Myles Jury picked up a first round knockout over Takanori Gomi, and also on the main card #2 women’s bantamweight Miesha Tate went to a decision with newcomer Rin Nakai and handed her, her first mixed-martial-arts professional career loss.
The entire event top to bottom was fantastic, with great fights and finishes throughout the preliminary fights and continuing on in the main card, eventually leading up to the spectacular knockout victory, which goes to Hunt.
As always, UFC officials announce who will take home an extra $50,000 as a Performance of the Night / Fight of the Night bonus at the post-fight press conference.
The four fighters who have earned an extra $50,000 are:

Performace of the Night #1: Mark Hunt
