Montano (13-1) is currently riding a four-fight winning streak into his Octagon debut. The product of Mexico made his professional debut in 2008 and all of his thirteen wins have come via some sort of stoppage. Most recently the 29-year-old defeated Jason Clayton at Jackson’s MMA Series 11 in August 2013.

Heatherly (8-2) made his UFC debut against Ben Saunders this past August and unfortunately came up on the losing end. Leading into his first Octagon appearance the “Stump” was on a 3-0, 1NC run.

The Montano vs. Heatherly bout will likely take place on the evening’s preliminary portion of the UFC 180 fight card.

UFC 180 goes down on November 15 from the Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico City, Mexico. In the main event, Cain Velasquez will put his heavyweight title on the line against Fabricio Werdum.
