A middleweight showdown is set for BFL 33, as Micah Brakefield takes on Jared Revel.

MMASucka.com learned of the match-up from BFL officials on Tuesday.

Micah Brakefield returns to Battlefield cage against Jared Revel at BFL 33

Brakefield (4-3) bounced back from a two-fight losing skid earlier this month at XFFC in Grand Prairie. “Mitey” was able to lock up a tight triangle choke after being taken down by Jordan Beecroft just 1:21 into the very first round. All four of Brakefield’s victories have come via submission.

Revel (0-0) will make his professional debut against Brakefield at BFL 33. The former BFL Amateur Champion has been out of MMA action since December 2013 when he was knocked out by Jer Kornelsen. This past weekend, the Revolution Fight Team product had a boxing match in Langley, B.C. and took home the City Heavyweight Title.

Brakefield and Revel were initially expected to fight at BFL 32 in August, however an injury forced Brakefield out of action.

BFL 33 goes down on Friday November 7 from the Hard Rock Casino in Coquitlam, B.C. In the main event, former Olympian Arjan Bhullar takes on former BFL Amateur Heavyweight Champion Adam Santos.
