The first event of 2015 is upon us, as UFC 182 heads to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The light heavyweight championship is up for grabs, as number one kingpin Jon Jones takes on his arch nemesis, undefeated Daniel Cormier. Also on the card is a lightweight bout between Donald Cerrone and Myles Jury.
The image below is all of the prices of fighters in the UFC 182 Kountermove games. If you are interested in playing and unsure of whom to pick for your five, we will give you a bit of our insight.
If you have never played Kountermove before, it’s very simple — you have $25,000 to spend. To make the most of your money, you will more than likely not be able to take more than one favorite. With a team of five, you will look to stay at about a $5,000 average
Best Bets
Shawn Jordan ($5000) – Jordan is coming off a big TKO victory over Jack May in August and he will look to continue on those winning ways at UFC 182 against Jared Cannonier. While Cannonier is undefeated at 7-0, he has yet to compete on the big stage and for that, my money would be on Jordan.
Hector Lombard ($5400) – The former Bellator champ will welcome Josh Burkman back to the Octagon. The UFC is feeding Burkman to the wolves with this fight and in my mind, Lombard should win with relative ease. He told Sucka Radio earlier this month that he is looking to ‘steal the show’ and if that happens, then he will be good bang for your buck.
Underdog Picks
Daniel Cormier ($5000) – I didn’t actually man up and pick Cormier to beat Jones, but a lot of the pros out there are. I can’t personally bet against Jones, because he is just that damn good. If you are however looking to make an underdog pick, then Cormier could be your best bet, as he does pose some serious threats to the champ. Will he be able to take him down? Will he be able to control him with his wrestling? These things are yet to be seen, but that’s a chance you might want to take.
Danny Castillo ($4400) – This is by far the best underdog pick on the UFC 182 Kountermove game. Castillo is an odds on favorite on many betting sites against Paul Felder — sitting as high as -240 on some. The reason Felder could be a favorite on KM is that he is undefeated at 9-0, but Octagon experience, heck big level experience is not on Felder’s side.
