It was a night of firsts and lasts at UFC Fight Night 62, emanating from the in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Some of those firsts and lasts happened in the same fight, such as the co-main event between welterweights Erick Silva and Josh Koscheck. In what was an exciting affair while it lasted, Silva hurt Koscheck on the feet, causing the TUF 1 competitor to shoot in for a takedown. He would be caught in a guillotine choke from the Brazilian, and ultimately tap out. This was Silva’s first consecutive victories in the UFC, and a bitter end to the final fight on Koscheck’s UFC contract.
