With Quinton “Rampage” Jackson unable to fight at UFC 186 due to contractual obligations to Bellator, Fabio Maldonado will now take on late replacement Steve Bosse.

Just over one year ago, Bosse was signed to the UFC, and was set to take on Ryan Jimmo at The Ultimate Figher: Nations Finale. Just weeks before he was supposed to debut, he suffered a shoulder injury and ultimately decided to walk away from the sport.

Bosse (10-1) has not fought since May 2013, but is riding an impressive eight-fight winning streak, with victories over Wes Sims, Marvin Eastman and Houston Alexander.

Although he’s been out of action for over two years, Bosse has decided to take another shot at the sport and will enter the Octagon against a big named opponent in Maldonado at UFC 186 in just over two week’s time on April 25.

Before getting into MMA, Bosse was a hockey goon. Check out one of his more impressive fights below.
