Continuing to empower fitness enthusiasts around the world through its tough fitness approach, Reebok announces today its partnership with Canadian UFC lightweight Olivier Aubin-Mercier. The announcement builds upon Reebok’s groundbreaking partnership with UFC, the world’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) organization, and adds a Canadian touch to its impressive roster of UFC athletes, which includes UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and more.

Aubin-Mercier, a southpaw grappler from Montreal, Quebec, carries a 6-1-0 professional MMA record and has a promising career ahead of him in the UFC organization. “The Reebok brand is about inspiring people to become better versions of themselves and we look forward to supporting Olivier in his quest to become a champion UFC fighter,” says Stewart Clark, Director of Marketing for Reebok Canada.

The French-Canadian who proved he belonged in the UFC Octagon as a finalist on The Ultimate Fighter Nations: Canada vs. Australia, is alsoecstatic about this partnership with the fitness brand. “Being a Reebok ambassador will allow me to keep progressing in my sport and reach the top of my weight class,” Aubin-Mercier says. “Reebok believes in training hard and pushing you past your limits to achieve new goals and this is the only way for me to get to where I want to go. Having a global brand’s trust and support gives me extra motivation to get there.”

Aubin-Mercier will be competing in the preliminary fights of UFC 186 this Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Bell Centre in Montreal. He will wear his first-ever “Reebok Walkout T-Shirt” as he faces David Michaud.

Reebok’s UFC Walkout T-Shirts, including Aubin-Mercier’s, will be available this Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Reebok FitHub, located at 1204 Ste-Catherine St. West.

UFC 186 Preliminary fights will be broadcasted in Quebec on RDS and TSN, with the main card live on Pay-Per-View.
