Former UFC fighter Nate Quarry: You love the UFC?

|

On Wednesday evening UFC President Dana White took to Twitter to openly chat with fans of the UFC. When they asked him something legitimate he would answer, but when they would bash something, he would mock them in front of millions on the social media platform.

Former UFC fighter Nate Quarry: You love the UFC?

Former UFC fighter Nate Quarry did not take lightly to it. This isn’t the first time, Quarry has had an issue with the UFC and also not the first time he is voicing it publicly.

Below is what Quarry wrote on his Facebook page.

“This is so money.

Tell me again how you LOVE the UFC. THIS is the UFC. After THIS man fires Stitch for DARING to say that the Reebok deal takes food money out of his pocket, Dana’s response is to fire him.

And when the FANS express their displeasure, he MOCKS them OPENLY on Twitter.

Do you REALLY love the UFC? The corporate entity OWNED by this man and the Fertitas who put HIM in power?

Or do you LOVE the FIGHTERS? The atheltes who put it on the line EVERY show?

“Oh those GREEDY athletes! Actually wanting FOOD money from a BILLION dollar company. They’re living their DREAMS! AND they want to send their kids to college? GREEDY! Let your dreams DIE if you want to put food on the table! THIS MAN deserves it ALL!”

What would happen if the FIGHTERS talked to the FANS like DANA does?

Funny, someone earlier today mentioned how much he loved my fight with Tim Credeur. OUR FIGHT. Not the production value of the show. Not the corporate structure of the UFC. NO. OUR FIGHT.

This reminds me of Born on the Fourth of July and Tom Cruise’s statment at the end. “I LOVE my country. But I HATE it’s leaders.”

I LOVE my sport of MMA. But I HATE the disrespect Dana shows the fighters, the cut men, and most of all, THE FANS. How many times, 5 years AFTER my last fight have I thanked YOU for making it possible.

Fighters fight. We’ll do it in a warehouse, and I have. Promters promote. But without fans in the SEATS the promotions DIE. Fighters will still fight. What do we need to succeed? Fighters willing to fight and fans willing to watch.

We DON’T need disresectful PRESIDENTS of corporations.

Check out this article. Look where it came from. USA TODAY. Wow! They NEVER cover the UFC.

But I would disagree with the title. “Dana HUMILIATES Fans.” No, no he didn’t. I could crap better come backs. A monkey could crap a better comeback and throw it at the people at the zoo.

Let me handle that for you, boss. I’ll write some things for you to use.

Thanks for helping us prove to the world what kind of a boss you are to work for. Times are changing.”

The article he was speaking of, was written by Mike Foss for USA Today.

Quarry (12-4) spent five years in the UFC after his stint on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. He held a 7-3 record in the Octagon with his most recent outing at UFC Fight Night 21 against Jorge Rivera in March 2010.
