After having to pull out of the BFL 37 main event against Kyle Nelson, Battlefield Fight League Featherweight Champion Jeremy Kennedy returns to the cage to defend his belt on September 11 against Tristan Connelly.

Kennedy (7-0) will put his featherweight gold on the line, along with his undefeated record to stake claim as number one 145er in Canada. After a stint in Thailand, “JBC” returned to B.C. to fight in front of his hometown crowd, defeating Andre Da Silva at BFL 32 and most recently stunning Mario Pereira in the main event at BFL 34 in January.

Connelly (5-4) is riding a two-fight winning streak coming into this title bout, with two stoppages, however he has only been inside the cage once in the last two years. Most recently, “Boondock” finished Kennedy’s former training partner Shawn Albrecht at BFL 37.

The Kennedy vs. Connelly fight will either serve as the evening’s co-main or main event.

BFL 38 goes down on September 11 from the River Rock Casino in Richmond, B.C.
