Malott (4-1) is a top Canadian prospect who has recently moved down to Sacramento, CA to train out of top MMA gym, Team Alpha Male. He won his first four pro-fights all by first-round stoppage, but in his latest outing at WSOF 14 he dropped his first loss, by TKO.

Diagne (5-4) began competing in professional MMA in 2009 and started off with a 1-3 record. However, the French fighter went on a four-fight winning streak, but dropped a loss in his last fight against Brandon Ricetti at WFC 10.

Malott vs. Diagne is expected to take place on the preliminary card.

Bellator 142: ‘Dynamite’ takes place live from the SAP Center in San Jose, CA on Sept. 19. In the main event, light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary faces Tito Ortiz. The “three-tier” event also features a four-man 205-pound tournament and several GLORY kickboxing matches.
