After a dominant win this past weekend, Charmaine Tweet is expected to return to the cage on short notice against Ediane Gomes at Invicta FC 15.
Although not official, sources close to the situation confirmed the news with MMASucka.com over the weekend.
Tweet (7-5) is coming off a first-round TKO over Anna Barone in a trilogy matchup at this past Saturday’s Prestige FC 1 in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. This was her first fight since getting stopped by Invicta FC featherweight champion Cris “Cyborg” Justino.
Gomes (10-4) has lost two straight; a first-round submission loss to Tonya Evinger and most recently a decision to Raquel Pa’Aluhi.
It isn’t clear what weight division this bout will take place in, but most likely it’ll be the 145-pound division, with “India” moving up by 10-pounds.
Invicta FC 15 is expected for December and will be headlined by a title bout between Livia Renata Souza and Alex Grasso. No venue has been confirmed for the card.
