WSOF signs kickboxing champion and Bellator veteran Cosmo Alexandre

|

World Series of Fighting (WSOF) has announced the signing of multi-time kickboxing champion and Bellator veteran; Cosmo Alexandre.

Alexandre (6-1) has won six-straight since losing his MMA debut to Josh Quayhagen at Bellator 52 in 2011. He beat Quayhagen at Bellator 80 to avenge the previous loss. Cosmo’s first six fights took place under the Bellator MMA banner, with his most recent outing taking place under the Legacy banner, where he picked up a TKO victory over Rey Trujillo in February of 2014.

Here is what WSOF President Ray Sefo had to say about the signing of the 33-year-old Blackzillian product.

“As a former kickboxing world champion who also made the transition to MMA, I am excited to welcome Cosmo Alexandre to our roster and see him perform,” said World Series of Fighting President Ray Sefo. “With the addition of Cosmo, our lightweight division is stronger than ever, and I think he will provide World Series of Fighting fans with a number of memorable encounters in the cage and, perhaps make a run at our lightweight world championship.”

Alexandre has no debut set as of right now, but as far as 2015 goes, he has been perfect this year. Picking up 3 kickboxing/muay thai wins, including a decision win over John Wayne Parr where he claimed the Lion Fight Super Middleweight Championship.
