A middleweight showdown between the number seven and number eight ranked fighters, Michael Bisping and Gegard Mousasi goes down at UFC Fight Night 83 in London.
Michael Bisping vs. Gegard Mousasi set for UFC Fight Night 83 in London
UFC officials announced the 185-pound match-up on Tuesday morning.
Bisping (27-7) is on a two-fight winning streak, with decision victories over C.B. Dollaway and Thales Leites. The FOX Sports analyst had been campaigning to be on the London fight card for some time and looks to continue his streak in front of his home country. The last time “The Count” fought in London was at UFC 120 when he earned a unanimous decision victory and ‘Fight of the Night’ honors.
Mousasi (37-6-2) is 4-3 since making his Octagon debut in 2013. The 30-year-old holds key victories over Ilir Latifi, Dan Henderson and Costas Philippou. In his most recent outing, “The Dreamcatcher” was controlling Uriah Hall and looked to have the fight in his hands, until Hall landed a brutal spinning back kick and handed Mousasi his first knockout loss.
UFC Fight Night 83 goes down on February 27 from the 02 Arena in London, England.
