Bellator MMA announcer Sean Grande may have spilled the news regarding Brennan Ward‘s RIZIN opponent a little early, but we’re happy that he did.

Hasegawa (10-0-1) spent most of his career as a heavyweight and made the drop to light heavyweight in late-2014 and finally dropped down to middleweight for his last fight in February. He is the former DEEP Megaton Champion and has fought for DEEP, Real Fight MMA Championship and Titan FC.
Bellator‘s Brennan Ward (12-3) is 3-0 in 2015 since losing to Tamdan McCrory in late-2014. Coming into 2015 he had lost two in a row, getting finished by Tamdan McCrory and former middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko. Following the two defeats he moved down to welterweight division, picking up wins over Millender, Carroll and Olson.
This fight will take place at RIZIN 2 on 12/31.
