WSOF unveils new logo, expanding with New York office

World Series of Fighting (WSOF.com) has unveiled an all-new logo that will replace its former, original emblem, and represent the brand across all of its media platforms, beginning in January. Graphically enhancing the identity begins with the new logo. The company also announced that it will open a Manhattan-based corporate office for its fast-growing operation, next month.

Capped with a three pronged crown, the new logo was created to enhance World Series of Fighting’s ability to visually connect with its rapidly expanding fan base, and to communicate its mission to maintain and promote authentic world champions and a qualified system of rankings for the athletes competing in eight different weight divisions.

The decision to expand its presence to New York City comes shortly prior to the latest New York State government vote on the MMA bill that, if passed, would legalize the sanctioning of MMA fights in the state.

“We are excited to head into the New Year, and enter a new chapter in World Series of Fighting history with a distinguished, new look that conveys the essence of why this company was founded and what it stands for, and are thrilled to bring our operation to one of the greatest cities and sports entertainment epicenters in the world,” said World Series of Fighting CEO Carlos Silva.

“Regardless of whether or not the MMA bill is passed in New York State this time around,” continued Silva, “we felt that having an office location in Manhattan was essential because we have a considerable number of stakeholders there, and are doing business there on a regular basis.”

The new World Series of Fighting office will be located on the east side of midtown Manhattan and will serve as the workplace for sales, marketing and public relations staff.

Live World Series of Fighting action returns to NBCSN on Friday, Dec. 18, beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT with a stacked, five-bout card.  In the world featherweight (145 pounds) championship main event, reigning kingpin Lance Palmer (10-1) of Sacramento, Calif. will put his title on the line against submission specialist Alexandre Almeida (17-5) of Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil.
