The match of the year, between UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos and UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor has been haulted. The 155-pound kingpin has been forced out of action with a reported broken foot.

The injury was reported by Brazilian outlet Globo, as well as a number of other sources.

McGregor won the 145-pound belt at UFC 194 when he knocked out Jose Aldo in just 13-seconds. The Irish bad boy wanted to prove to the world that he could be a two division champion by calling out dos Anjos and the UFC granted him that wish. Unfortunately he will have to wait a little longer.

Dos Anjos (25-7) is coming off a 66 second destruction of Donald Cerrone at UFC on FOX 17 in the main event on December 19th.

McGregor (19-2) knocked out Jose Aldo in 13 seconds, setting a record for fastest knockout in a Featherweight Title fight at UFC 194.

UFC 196 goes down on March 5 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Also on the card, Holly Holm will defend her UFC women’s bantamweight gold for the first time against Miesha Tate.
