Grappling fight between Kabir Bath and Matt Kwan headlines BFL 43 undercard

|

BFL 43 will feature a number of grappling super-fights. Brown belts Kabir Bath and Matt Kwan will headline the undercard of the May 7 event.

Bath has been involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over a decade. After training with Gracie Barra Vancouver for some time, he made the move out to Surrey, British Columbia to open his own club — Kaboom Jiu-Jitsu. Bath is an active competitor who is a brown belt under Rafael Lovato Jr.

Kwan is also a brown belt in BJJ and competes as much as possible, all over the country. The young talent received his brown belt from Gary Hsueh and John Thompkins of Burnaby BJJ.

Both grapplers bring a highly exciting and flashy style to the mats. Bath and Kwan have competed on the highest stages of the BJJ world and have shown that their skills are legit. This will be a fan favorite for everyone in attendance at the Hard Rock.

BFL 43 goes down from the Hard Rock Casino in Coquitlam on May 7. Other grappling matches include Clint Cooper vs. Dion Wu and Micah Brakefield vs. Saeid Mirzaei. The event will be headlined by a battle for the 135-pound title, as Jamie Siraj takes on Nick Ghaeni.
