Phil “CM Punk” Brooks will make his long awaited Octagon debut against Mickey Gall at UFC 203 on September 10 in Cleveland.
The announcement came on Thursday during an episode of “UFC Unfiltered.”

Brooks (0-0) signed with the UFC in December 2014 and was expected to make his debut the following year. Unfortunately nagging injuries have forced Punk to sit on the sidelines for nearly two years.
“The instant I got cleared I got on the horn with (UFC President Dana White) and we nailed everything down so I will be debuting September 10 in Cleveland,” Brooks said on UFC Unfiltered. “I’m super excited. For obviously a myriad of reasons. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel.”
Gall (2-0) impressed the UFC brass during a taping of Dana White’s “Lookin’ for a Fight.” He went on to make his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 82, where he tapped out Mike Jackson in just 45-seconds. That victory earned him the shot against CM Punk.
UFC 203 goes down on September 10 from the Quicken Loans Arena from Cleveland, Ohio. The main event is a battle between Stipe Miocic and Alistair Overeem for the UFC heavyweight championship.
