With a baby face and the nickname “The Korean Superboy” one can’t help but be a fan of the very impressive Doo Ho Choi. In the second fight of the TUF 23 Finale, Choi was able to utilize great poise and finish a wily veteran in Thiago Tavares.

The Brazilian almost instantly went for a takedown, in fact he went for two and landed both of them. The 25-year-old Japanese talent was able to get back to his feet on both occasions and finished Tavares just two-minutes and fourty-two seconds into the first frame.

Doo Ho Choi impresses with first round KO; calls out Swanson/Kawajiri winner

Choi (15-1) has won thirteen in a row, with three of those coming inside the Octagon. Thirteen of his fifteen victories have come via stoppage, twelve of those by knockout.

Following his TUF 23 Finale victory, Choi felt very confident and called out the winner of Cub Swanson and Tatsuya Kawajiri at UFC Fight Night 92 on August 8.

You can’t deny the skills of Choi in his three UFC outings. He could definitely be a bright star in an already stacked featherweight division.
