One of the top fighters in the world at 170 pounds has decided to take his work elsewhere. Rory MacDonald has signed with Bellator.
On Wednesday morning he was removed from the UFC rankings and sources close to FloCombat confirmed the signing.

The UFC always has the option to match whatever negotiations are ongoing, but they refused to in this case.
MacDonald (18-4) is riding his first back to back losses of his career. Most recently losing a decision to Stephen Thompson this past June.
The British Columbia native will look to climb atop the Bellator welterweight rankings and make his name known to a new set of fans.
