Following his giant UFC 204 victory over Vitor Belfort, UFC middleweight Gegard Mousasi make it clear he wanted a top contender. However he knew that the top four in the division were all muddled up with match-ups of their own, so he decided to call out one of the greatest of all-time and former 185-pound kingpin Anderson Silva.

This fight may not come to fruition, and if it doesn’t, Mousasi hasn’t given up hope on a so-called ‘money-fight.’ On his Facebook page, the 31-year-old called out another big named opponent — Nick Diaz.

Mousasi (40-6-2) is currently riding a three-fight winning streak, which is his longest since 2013. This one is very impressive, as his two most recent outings have come by way of knockout. The former DREAM and Strikeforce champion is currently ranked at number five in the world and will look to stay near the top of the division until he earns a shot at the gold.

There is no word as to when Silva is set to return to the Octagon, however just yesterday, UFC President Dana White stated that Diaz ‘wants to fight’ and ‘is ready to go.’ White said this on “The Buzzer” on FOX Sports.

No matter who Mousasi steps inside the cage against next, it’s bound to be an impressive performance. He has definitely been working on his game outside the cage as well, as we have seen and heard numerous call-outs as of late.
