The UFC will return to Halifax, Nova Scotia next February and the main event has been announced. It will be a rematch between heavyweight’s Junior Dos Santos and Stefan Struve.
The UFC announced the match-up on Twitter early Wednesday morning.
Junior Dos Santos vs. Stefan Struve to headline UFC Halifax
Dos Santos (18-4) has bounced back and forth between wins and losses since he was defeated by Cain Velasquez at UFC 155 in 2012. Most recently the former champ defeating Ben Rothwell via unanimous decision at a Fight Night event in April.
Struve (28-8) is riding a two-fight winning streak coming into this bout. He knocked out Antonio Silva in May and followed up with a submission victory over Daniel Omielańczuk most recently.
Other notable match-ups that have been added to UFC Fight Night 105 are Elias Theodorou vs. Cezar Ferreira, Nordine Taleb vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio, Jack Marshman vs. Thiago Santos, Alessandro Ricci vs. Alvaro Herrera and Aiemann Zahabi vs. Reginaldo Vieira.
UFC Fight Night 105 goes down on February 19, 2017 from the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
