May 12, 2017 – ROAD Fighting Championship announces two more matches that will be added to Xiaomi ROAD FC 039 in Seoul, Korea on June 10, 2017. Former Openweight Tournament contenders Myung Hyun-Man and Aorigele will meet, and Moon Jea-Hoon versus Asakura Kai at flyweight.
Myung Hyun-Man vs Aorigele
Myung Hyun-Man (4-3, Apgujeong Gym) is a Muay Thai stylist coming from a recent win by TKO injury over Chris Barnett. Prior to that, he took current ROAD FC Openweight Champion Mighty Mo almost the distance before losing to submission, and things went much the same way with the legendary Cro Cop.
Aorigele (4-3, Xindu Martial Arts Club) is a China National Sanda champion coming off the national games and back to back KOs over Yukuke Kawaguchi and Bob Sapp. At just 22 years old, he’s already established himself as a fan favorite in and out of the cage.
When Myung and Aorigele meet, unfinished business will be settled as the big strikers face off.
Moon Jea-Hoon vs Asakura Kai
Moon Jea-Hoon (9-9, Octagon Gym) is from a pure Taekwondo base before picking up grappling and transitioning to MMA. He has wins over former Shooto champ Nezu Yuta, Bantamweight contender Kim Min-Woo, and UFC vet Marcos Vinicius. Moon dropped to flyweight at ROAD FC 036 against Japanese standout Taiyo Nakahara, but he’s prepared to stay in the division and regain momentum.
Asakura Kai (8-0, RINGS) is a karateka who holds the Outsiders 57kg title. He made his ROAD FC debut in 2016 by choking out Liu Xiaoyang, then at ROAD FC 036 he destroyed Alatengheili in seconds. Asakura is seen as one of the hottest prospects in the flyweight division today.
Moon versus Asakura is a striking match at its finest as Taekwondo takes on Karate!
Xiaomi ROAD FC 039
As previously announced for the main event, Ham Seo-Hee will return to her home of Korea to fight for the inaugural ROAD FC Women’s Atomweight Championship against Kurobe Mina, the current DEEP -48kg Champion. “Keyboard Warrior” Kim Seung-Yeon will finally have his match in the International Trials for the $1 Million Lightweight Tournament against surging Kyrgyzstani kickboxer “Ataman” Rafael Fiziev. Also, an openweight match will kick off the main card as wrestler Shim Yoon-Jae faces kickboxer Kim Chang-Hee.
The main event for the preliminary Young Guns 34 card will be La In-Jae versus Cha In-Ho in a match which is a contrast of styles. Also, two undefeated prospects Kim Se-Yeong and Lee Jeong-Yeong are sure to deliver an exciting match.
New Wave MMA ROAD FC is the stage where legends shine, rookies thrill, and epic battles are waged that determine the future of MMA. From the pageantry of the grand entrance to the final crunch of the KO, ROAD FC showcases the very best of Mixed Martial Arts sports and entertainment. As we say in Korea, “Fighting!”
