UFC Shanghai Magomedsharipov vs Moraes

November 25th in Shanghai China; we will see two fighters who are both 9-1 and on win streaks close out the UFC Fight Night: Bisping Vs Gastelum prelims. Zabit Magomedsharipov takes on Sheymon Moraes; one fighter will leave the fight 10-1 in what is sure to be a fight of the night candidate!.

UFC Shanghai Magomedsharipov vs Moraes

Zabit comes into Shanghai after an amazing UFC debut against Mike Santiago who was also making his debut after winning his contract in Dana White contender series. Zabit put on a great performance and even preformed a Pettis like kick off the cage. which is not surprising since coach Mark Henry told me that Zabit preforms Pettis style fighting tricks like they were on steroids all the time. With that win Zabit was able to improve his winning streak to 9 wins in a row. With his last 7 wins coming by way of finish expect this one to be very exciting. Zabit is a top prospect for the featherweight division. A second phenomenal win in the UFC would help him push his way into the top 15 in rankings especially with a win over a tough opponent like Moraes.

Sheymon Moraes will make his UFC debut this weekend coming in with a very competitive win over a tough Luis Palomino. Moraes is riding a 2 fight win streak which brought his record to 9-1 with his only loss coming to former WSOF champion Marlon Moraes (who does train with Zabit as well under Mark Henry). Sheymon trains under Team Nogueira in Rio de Janeiro and is one of there many top prospects. Moraes was former competitor in many Muay Thai tournaments and fights. Which has helped his mma skills develop which shows in his stand up. Moraes has 5 wins via finish due to his skills in striking from his Muay Thai background.

When you stack these two fighters up side by side you see both are great prospects for the featherweight division. They both have potential to be big stars in the division and I believe whoever wins this will be the one who can skyrocket their career faster. I predict this fight to stay a stand up war for both fighters. Zabit may have the edge on the ground as he has 5 wins by submission if Zabit can take this fight to the ground like he did to Santiago then Moraes may be in some rough water. Moraes has the edge on the standup as Zabit has been know to take some punches but has yet to ever been rocked. I feel this fight will be a fight/performance of the night candidate both these fighters are known to put on great shows and i expect none the less from either fight prepare to be wowed by this event. I am giving the edge to Zabit on this fight due to Moraes may be hit by the big light jitters being it his first time on such a large stage.
