Both the main and the co-main event are rematches.
Dillashaw regained the 135-pound gold when he knocked out Garbrandt at UFC 217 in November of last year. That win put Dillashaw on a three-fight winning streak, dating back to early 2016. Neither fighter has competed since the last time they met.
Johnson and Cejudo met in April of 2016 and the bout didn’t fare well for the challenger. The end came at just two-minutes and forty-nine seconds of the very first round, as “Mighty Mouse” TKO’d the Olympic gold medalist. Johnson has fought and defended his 125-pound belt three times since the two fought. And Cejudo has gone 2-1, but earned his shot at Johnson’s strap after beating Wilson Reis and Sergio Pettis in his last two bouts.
