UFC 235 takes place Saturday, March 2nd from the hub of the organization, the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card features a slew of big-name competitors to an equal amount of young upstarts beginning their rise with the promotion.

Featured Prelims

On the UFC Fight Pass preliminary card, Macy Chiasson┬átakes on Gina Mazany. The bout is one of two women’s bouts on the UFC Fight Pass portion of the event. Upon moving to the ESPN televised prelims, young stars and old vets alike compete. In the first bout of the ESPN prelims, Mickey Gall takes on a legend in Diego Sanchez. Sanchez, of course, is the winner of the inaugural season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ reality series. He won the welterweight competition by defeating Kenny Florian by 1st round TKO. Also fitting this distinction is a bout between Zabit Magomedsharipov and Jeremy Stephens. This clash is a highly anticipated one as the young Magomedsharipov dazzled fans with a highly creative and diverse striking attack. His bout with Kyle Bochniak shows this diversity and how entertaining the Russian can be.

Two Title Fights

On the main card of UFC 235, two titles are on the line. Jon Jones and Tyron Woodley defend their respective light heavyweight and welterweight titles. Jones competes almost 2 months after returning from suspension to defeat Alexander Gustafsson. Now clear of his past wrongdoings, Jones looks to pick where he supposedly left off. For Woodley, he comes into the event having last fought in September at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. There Woodley definitively defended his title by stopping in the second round by submission. Also on the main card, a battle between Cody Garbrandt and Pedro Munhoz as well as Ben Askren vs. Robbie Lawler.
