Ben Askren doesn’t have striking technique on par with Darren Till, but that, of course, did not stop him from going at the young former title challenger via social media. On Sunday, following his wild UFC debut, Askren tagged Till in a social media post.
“Hey @darrentill2 now that there isn’t much standing between us, I don’t see your loose gums flapping. See you in London, sucka!”

To that, Till had a response of his own.
Ben, your performance was shit.
You barely won.
You are ugly as fuck.
That chin is too big not to miss.
You have no respect for no one.
Ohh… did I say you were a curly headed fuck.
See you in London muppet! https://t.co/HTlDQP5m4g— DT (@darrentill2) March 3, 2019
Ben Askren, Darren Till Trade Words
Inklings of this feud re-ignited at the UFC 235 post-fight press conference. There, Askren informed the media that the UFC bought him a plane ticket to London. Following his victory over Robbie Lawler, Askren is to attend UFC Fight Night 147 in London, England set for March 16th. Furthermore, the undefeated welterweight told the media he intends to target the winner of the UFC Fight Night 147 main event, Darren Till vs. Jorge Masvidal.
This feud between the two top welterweights stretched even further into the past than UFC 235. Upon Ben Askren signing with the organization, the former ONE Championship welterweight champ went on a tirade going after many of the top fighters in the UFCs 170 lb. division. Many had a disdain for the first person in MMA history to be traded from organization to organization, Till had a particular dislike.
While Askren is looking at the winner of Masvidal vs. Till, UFC president Dana White does not seem to be on the same page. At the UFC 235 post-fight press conference, White remarked that he would be looking to book a rematch between Ben Askren and Robbie Lawler.
