Island Fights 53 is set to take place March 06, 2019 live from the Emerald Coast Convention Center in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. The co-main event will feature rising Alabama star Marcel Stamps as he takes on Chase Gamble. Gamble has experience on the LFA stage while Stamps as a victory on the Bellator MMA Fight Series with a knockout over DJ Wilson.

Also competing in multiple time Bellator veteran Carrington Banks. Banks takes on David Valente. Both competitors make their Island Fight debuts at IF 53. Valente rides a three-fight winning streak, while Banks is on the opposing end having lost two consecutive bouts. Valente holds an experience advantage, on paper, over Banks. The Brazilian fighter has 13 cage appearances and a record of 11-2. Of those 11 victories, 4 (officially) came by way of stoppage. Banks has a differing resume. The Colorado fighter has no (official) stoppages to his record.
