The man known as “Juggernaut,” Josh Kwiatkowski will step back inside the cage with just 11-days notice. At Unified MMA 38, Kwiatkowski will step in against Edmonton’s Matt Klute.

The Kwiatkowski vs. Klute match will be contested at a catchweight of 150-pounds.

Kwiatkowski (2-2) is coming off a show-stealing performance at Rise FC 4. The 25-year-old finished Grant Gorsegner with a flash knockout, 16-seconds into the very first round. The Checkmat Vancouver fighter stepped back into the win column with this finish, after falling short in his previous two outings. Kwiatkowski may hold a .500 record, however, he could easily have a perfect record, as his two losses were on the judges’ scorecards.

Klute (1-0) turned pro in early 2019 after a successful amateur career. At Unified MMA 37 in May, the 27-year-old earned a third-round stoppage against Gurjeet Bilkhu. Klute was expected to take on Marc Savoie, but unfortunately, the Calgary native was forced to withdraw from the bout.

Unified MMA 38 goes down from the River Cree Resort and Casino in Edmonton, Alberta. There are two title fights set for the card, as Chris Larsen takes on Jared Kilkenny in the main event for the heavyweight championship. In the evening’s co-main event, former UFC welterweight Matt Dwyer faces off with KB Bhullar for the middleweight title.
