Undefeated Croatian light heavyweight Ivan Erslan will make his KSW promotional debut in his home town as KSW makes their first voyage into Croatia for KSW 51: Croatia which is set to take place November 09, 2019. The undefeated (7-0) young star has all the tools needed to shine on one of Europe’s brightest stages, KSW.
Ready to Shine on Big Stage
“I am very excited about my debut at KSW, especially because it is in my town of Zagreb, Croatia,” Erslan told MMASucka. “The place will be crowded with my people and I can’t wait to perform in front of them. In the 15 years KSW has been running events, this is the first time (KSW 51) in which the organization will take it’s show on the road to Croatia. The 600 plus mile trip for the organization shows the ever expanding hands of KSW. ” KSW is one of the best promotions in the world so I am honored they gave me a chance to prove my skills there.”
Debut with a Dangerous Opponent
Those skills will be quite the treat for anyone who has not seen Erslan perform. His last performance was a 1:37 first round knockout of Roger Carroll at Final Fight Championship 37 in May 2019. Erslan’s opponent for KSW 51, Darwin Rodriguez, is the AFL light heavyweight champion and also making his KSW debut. “In my opinion, I am better at any aspect of the game so I feel I would have the advantage where ever the fight goes,” Erslan stated. Rodriguez is riding a six fight winning streak, all coming by knockout. This bout has all the makings for fight of the night with two skilled fighters with knockout power.
Current light heavyweight champion Tomasz Narkun is running low on opponents. The winner of this matchup could be catapulted into the limelight for a future shot at the champion. “For sure a good win will be very good to cement my place in the division,” Erslan stated. “Probably I will have to get more wins to be next in line for the belt but sooner or later I will get that, for sure.” Erslan has relentless pressure and that’s what it will take to stop someone like Rodriguez. After dropping Carroll in his last bout, Erslan pounced on top and knocked out Carroll with his ground and pound. If this bout ends up on the ground, it could be a very short night for Rodriguez.
