UFC Fight Night 164 Results

The UFC returns to Sao PauloBrazil for UFC Fight Night 164. The main event features yet another former middleweight looking to test the waters at light heavyweight. This time, Jacare Souza takes the jump as he makes his debut against Jan Blachowicz. Blachowicz last fought in July when he welcomed another former middleweight to 205, facing off against former champion, Luke Rockhold. He won the fight in the second round, knocking out the former champion to make it five wins out of his last six fights. As for Souza, his last fight, at middleweight, came in April when he headlined UFC Fight Night 150 against Jack Hermansson. He would end up losing the fight by unanimous decision after going 2-2 in his last four. An impressive win could easily put either man in position for a title shot at light heavyweight.

In the co-main event, MMA legend Shogun Rua returns to the cage as he takes on Scotland‘s Paul Craig. Rua enters the fight with four wins in his last five. His most recent outing came at UFC Fight Night 142 last December when he defeated Tyson Pedro by TKO. He looks to make it two in a row as he enters the cage against Craig. Craig’s last fight came in September when he defeated Vinicius Moreira with a rear naked choke in the first round.
