Combat Jiu-Jitsu Worlds: The Middleweights goes down on November 23 from Mexico. British Columbia’s own Micah Brakefield will step in on short notice and make his CJJ debut.

The 31-year-old has been very active on the grappling circuit and will showcase his skills live on UFC Fight Pass.

Micah Brakefield makes CJJ debut

Brakefield most recently competed at Submission Underground 9, where he lost to former UFC fighter Kevin Casey in Overtime. The Titan MMA product is one of the funkiest grapplers to grace the mats or cage.

The 10th Planet Black Belt will face Abraham Canavati in a special match on the CJJ Worlds 2019 “The Middleweights” fight card.

Combat Jiu-Jitsu Worlds: The Middleweights goes down on November 23 from Cintermex in Monterey, N.L. Mexico.

The sixteen man bracket features, Matt Secor, Kaniela Kahuanui, Felipe Fogolin, Jesse Taylor, Dan Martinez, Kyle Chambers, Justin Renick, Javier Torres, Alejandro Baez, Sloan Clymer, Tom Gallicchio, Michael Esquivel, Nick Greene, Nisar Loynab and Salvador Izar.

Four super-fights have been added as well.

Nino Marroquin vs. Tito Castro
Ricardo Arreola vs. Ivan Perez
Abraham Canavati vs. Micah Brakefield
Pearl Gonzalez vs. Lilian Borja
