It didn’t take long for the BMF champ, Jorge Masvidal to respond to Conor McGregor. According to UFC President Dana White hinted earlier this week that McGregor was interested in a match against Masvidal in the future.

“Conor has told me he definitely wants a fight with Masvidal,” White said in an interview with 101.6-FM in Washington. “So we’ll see what happens.”

Jorge Masvidal responds

On Friday morning, Masvidal took to Twitter and seemingly responded to McGregor’s call out.

Masvidal (35-13) is riding a three-fight winning streak. Most recently earned the moniker of BMF, as he defeated Nate Diaz at UFC 244. After losing two in a row in 2017, “Gamebred” took all of 2018 off and returned with a bang in 2019. He has finished all three of his opponents this calendar year.

McGregor (21-4) is coming off a one-sided beatdown to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. That bout took place on October 6, 2018, and that was the last time “Notorious” stepped foot inside the Octagon. Since that bout, McGregor has had some run-ins with the law and looks to be back in action at UFC 246 against Donald Cerrone.

With McGregor matched up with Cerrone, this bout would likely not take place until later in 2020, if at all. But McGregor has stated that he expects to take part in three fights in 2020
