The ONE Championship flyweight world champion Adriano Moraes will put his title on the line against former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson. The bout will go down on April 11 in China.

The bout was announced on Sunday evening by ONE CEO Chatri Sityadong on Twitter.

Demetrious Johnson fights for flyweight gold

Johnson (30-3) signed with ONE Championship in October 2018 after fighting out his UFC contract. The former UFC champion made his debut in March of 2019 against Yuya Wakamatsu. The AMC Pankration product earned a submission in that contest and went on to defeat Tatsumitsu Wada and Danny Kingad by decision in his next two outings. The victory over Kingad earned the 33-year-old the ONE Flyweight Grand Prix Championship.

Moraes (18-3) has fought twelve times under the ONE banner. His record is 9-3 within the Asian promotion. The Brazilian won the interim flyweight championship at ONE: Heroes of the World with a rear-naked choke against Tilek Batyrov. He went on to unify the championship with a decisive victory against Kairat Akhmetov. Midway through 2018, the 30-year-old lost the title to Geje Eustaquio via split decision but was granted an immediate rematch. In that match at ONE: Hero’s Ascent, Moraes was able to secure the decision victory and get the title back around his waist.

ONE: Reign of Dynasties goes down on April 11 from Chongqing, China. Keep it locked for more bouts as they are announced.
