The eagerly anticipated third iteration of Dustin Poirier versus Conor McGregor has reportedly been booked for July 10th, according to the Georgian MMA website Adjarasport. The two have fought twice before, once in 2014 and a second time in 2021.

Dustin Poirier vs. Conor McGregor 3 Booked for July 10
In their first encounter, McGregor defeated Poirier in the first round by technical knockout. In their second fight, which took place in January, Poirier repaid him by defeating McGregor in the second round by technical knockout. This marked the first time that “The Notorious” has ever been defeated by either TKO or KO. Both knockouts would win the “Performance of the Night” bonuses at their respective events.
Both pushed for a third rematch quickly, with Poirier vocally passing on an opportunity to fight for the UFC undisputed lightweight championship in favour of a third bout with McGregor. Instead, Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler, the third and fourth officially ranked lightweight UFC fighters will fight for the undisputed belt instead. However, the victor of this rematch would almost certainly be in contention to fight for the undisputed belt next.
Their second clash reportedly brought in 1.6 million pay-per-view buys worldwide. This made it the second most purchased UFC PPV ever, only exceeded by UFC 229: Khabib vs McGregor. Whether the rubber match repeats, exceeds or recedes from those numbers remains to be seen.
