When ONE Championship makes its U.S. primetime debut on Wednesday, April 7, the three main card bouts will be a must-see event for martial arts fans, with three all-time greats featured for the world to see.

ONE on TNT I: 3 Legends Competing

Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson is the most notable and will go for the ONE Flyweight World Championship against Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes.

Johnson is the greatest flyweight of all time and arguably the greatest mixed martial artist to ever compete in the sport. He has shown not only expertise in all facets of the game but a dazzling way of blending them all during active competition.

His lightning-quick level changes, innovative submissions, and knockout power has made him peerless.

And before “Mighty Mouse” takes to the ONE Circle, Eddie “The Underground King” Alvarez will battle Iuri Lapicus with a possible ONE Lightweight World Championship title bid on the line.

Alvarez’s credentials are nearly unmatched in the lightweight division across the entire sport. The Philadelphia native has competed in nearly every major promotion and has captured gold everywhere he has been — except ONE.

The multiple-time World Champion has been a fan-favorite due to his aggressive, non-stop action style. Still, unlike others with a similar penchant for engaging in close-quarters, Alvarez has had a long career of championship success with it.

Both men are already legends in the sport, and their matches at ONE on TNT I only serve as another opportunity to add to their accolades. But there is one other legend on the card.

Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon will be featured in a catchweight contest against Australia’s Danial Williams. The reigning ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion will compete in a non-title bout to bring ONE Super Series action to the American audience.

Is there a better way to serve as a primetime introduction than to give the fans a dose of Rodtang? Surely not.

Under the bright lights of TNT’s primetime debut, fans will get to see how ONE Super Series Muay Thai action works with the athletes firing off heavy leather while wearing four-ounce gloves.

Williams will get a chance to potentially knock off the World Champion and earn a title shot while the Thai superstar can add a legion of fans by showing what has made him one of the greatest strikers walking on the planet.

It is a card with one World Title match and two others that can lead toward a shot at gold. The stakes are high, the matches are guaranteed to deliver fireworks, and it’s a historic event. However, those are not the only reason fans must tune in to watch.

Mid-week martial arts was an exciting proposition to begin with, but ONE has filled their first card on TNT with three heroes of the sport. Whenever any of these men compete, it should be cherished as we all only get a finite amount of time with their greatness.

Wednesday is your chance to see true legends compete live once again. Savor it.

ONE on TNT I will kick-off on B/R Live at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT with the main card airing on TNT live at 10 p.m. ET/7: p.m. PT on Wednesday, April 7.
