On Friday, March 28, ONE Championship closed out May with ONE: Full Blast. The five-bout card featured three mixed martial arts contests along with two ONE Super Series bouts.
ONE: Full Blast Aftermath
In the main event, #1-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender Saemapetch Fairtex made quick work of the #3-ranked Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai with a crushing left straight to the body. The magnificent strike came with tremendous speed and stunning power.

The two were originally supposed to meet in the finals of the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai Tournament last year, but an injury forced Saemapetch out of the bout. The highly-anticipated matchup put a swift end to the debate of who would have won and cemented Saemapetch’s status as the top contender.
The co-main event of the evening took place in the flyweight division as “The Hunter” Xie Wei came out with intense pressure and wore down Kantharaj “Kannadiga” Agasa.
Xie’s performance was a resounding statement to the flyweight division that he intends to be a major factor in the title picture. The Chinese athlete is on a mission to become China’s first-ever male World Champion, and performances like the one at ONE: Full Blast will help give him that chance.
Filipino Edward “The Ferocious” Kelly edged past Ahmed “The Prince” Faress by split decision. The Egyptian’s best moment came in the second round as he locked up a triangle attempt for two minutes, narrowly missing the submission.
The gritty performance showed the heart of the Team Lakay member and put him back in the win column.
Anthony “The Antidote” Do made his main roster debut with a second-round triangle choke victory over Liang Hui. Do was quick to attack with the submission after a takedown, and once it was locked in, the bout was a wrap. The debut victory in the catchweight contest kept American Kickboxing Academy’s recent success rolling and made for a good first impression for Do.
In an additional ONE Super Series bout, Miles Simson made a successful welterweight kickboxing debut by edging out Santino Verbeek on the judge’s scorecards. The competitive match was razor-thin, but the Dutch-Surinamese star closed out the third round with a combination that tipped it in his favor.
Following the fun at ONE: Full Blast, the promotion will bring the second edition to the masses on July 11.
