At 6-0, light heavyweight prospect Nicholas Maximov has signed with the UFC.
The 23-year-old made the announcement on his Facebook page on Thursday morning.
Nicholas Maximov Signs UFC Contract
The First Round Management Client and Nick Diaz Academy product has shown his well-rounded skills in his six professional outings.
Maximov (6-0) most recently earned a unanimous decision victory against Oscar Cota in November 2020 at Dana White’s Contender Series. For this bout, Maximov went up a weight class and fought at heavyweight. He showed determination and heart but was not signed by the UFC President at that time.
Prior to that decision victory, Maximov finished all five of his previous opponents either by knockout or submission.
While waiting for MMA bouts, Maximov would dabble in the professional grappling circuit, with a number of bouts on Chael Sonnen’s Submission Underground.
