“GENDER REVEAL!!! Thank you guys for the patience while we pondered the best way to reveal the gender of our little Rowdy One @browseyacres style (wildfires not included) @nodnbproductions” Ronda Rousey posted on Instagram.
Though, for now, the gloves are off, and Rousey and former UFC heavyweight Travis Browne are welcoming a baby into their lives, and not only that but had a Pokémon-themed gender reveal to cap off the fun.
The former UFC bantamweight champion held a record of six title defenses before losing in unimaginable fashion to a fellow great, in boxing legend Holly Holm.
While Amanda Nunes has a win over Rousey after she already lost to Holm, the Brazilian has yet to surpass the American’s six title defenses at bantamweight. Nunes has already etched her name in the combat sport history books after capturing a second belt simultaneously at 145lbs against the scary Cris Cyborg.
The Second Chapter Of Ronda Rousey’s Career
Since her departure from the UFC, the former champion, Rousey has been seen doing professional wrestling in the WWE. It seems the new home is a great fit for the former Olympian/champion as she has already secured multiple awards in the new organization. In fact, in the three years she’s been with the wrestling promotion, the women’s MMA pioneer has been awarded:
- WWE Raw Women’s Championship (1 time)
- Slammy Award (1 time)
- for “This is Awesome” Moment of the Year (2015) – with The Rock
- WWE Year-End Award
- Best Diss of the Year (2018)
After two finish losses in the UFC and the lack of a media presence, her initial fan base was certainly shaken but the combat sports superstar has bounced back in a major way since. Now, the two former combatants in the world’s most intense proving ground enjoy their married lives on the sidelines and will welcome a little baby girl into the world.
