Combate Global 13 Results

Combate Global returns tonight with Combate Global 13. After the promotion’s debut on a new American network last week at Combate Global 12, the self-proclaimed “fastest-growing sports franchise in the world” and “number one Latino MMA organization in the world” owned and operated by UFC co-founder Campbell McLaren will look to carry that momentum into tonight’s event.

The main event is a lightweight clash between “El Negro” Levy Marroquin and “El Changuito” Carlos Calvo Calvo. Mexico’s Marroquin is best known for winning Combate’s one-night, eight-man bantamweight championship in 2017, which included wins over current UFC fighters Marcelo Rojo and John Castaneda. Since that tournament, Marroquin has gone 3-1 to reach a 14-3 record overall. Twenty-three year old Costa Rican Calvo, meanwhile, will look to rebound from his first career loss after winning his first seven professional outings.

The Combate Global 13 co-main event will be in the strawweight division, a rematch from both Mexican fighters’ amateur careers. “Tiny Mexa” Daniela Hernandez has since picked up a win in her professional debut, and will try to make it two in a row against Elia Avila, who is seeking her first professional win after a loss in her debut.

Elsewhere on the card, undefeated prospects Landry Ward and Alfrego Ruelas face off at lightweight in what should be an interesting striking battle. Two 4-2 fighters will try to move to 5-2 as Alliance MMA product “El Lupe” Jair Perez takes on grappling specialist Gabe Barletta. Veterans of the fight game take center stage in the night’s second fight, as former CFFC and LFA fighter “El Rey” Carlos Puente Jr. battles one-time Bellator fighter and Gracie Technics product Pierre Daguzan. The night is kicked off by a bout between FactoryX-trained “Moisturizer” Oscar Herrera, who just won his professional debut at LFA 110 two weeks ago, and debuting Mexican Ricardo Ramirez.

MMA Sucka has fight fans covered with Combate Global 13 Results, happening live on Paramount+ and Univision beginning at 11pm ET/8pm PT.
