Steveson’s next move is up in the air, but bettors can take early action on how he would match up against the cream of the crop at UFC heavyweight. Any of the fights listed by Bovada must occur in UFC before Dec. 31, 2022, for action.
Steveson is seen as a moderate underdog against heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane, former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic and former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who is looking to make his own move up to heavyweight.
However, Steveson has opened as a slight favorite against two-time title challenger Derrick Lewis in what is essentially a pick’em. Steveson is a slight underdog against Brock Lesnar, a former UFC heavyweight champion who has spent most of his athletic prime in the WWE.
Ngannou and Gane are expected to unify the UFC heavyweight title next, while Lewis recently came up short against Gane for the interim title. Jones has yet to make his heavyweight debut, though the UFC was eyeing a bout between him and Miocic.
Lesnar has not fought in the UFC since July 2016, when he had a unanimous decision win over Mark Hunt overturned to a no-contest due to Lesnar testing positive for the anti-estrogen drug clomiphene.
Would you bet on Gable Steveson vs. any of the UFC fighters listed? How about against him? Let us know.
