On Friday, October 15, ONE Championship brings a night of elite striking to your home with ONE: First Strike.
ONE: First Strike Fight Card Announced
The 10-bout card is loaded with talent competing in ONE Super Series action and will be capped off by a dream match for the inaugural ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Championship.
2019 ONE Featherweight World Grand Prix Champion and top-ranked featherweight kickboxer Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan meets #2-ranked Superbon in the main event for the gold.
The Team Petrosyan figurehead is considered the pound-for-pound best kickboxer on Earth and brings a staggering 104-2-2 (2 NC) record into the featured bout. But Superbon is a legend in his own right with 111 professional victories of his own.
Flyweight star Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon takes his spot in the co-main event opposite Spain’s Daniel Puertas. Fireworks are guaranteed every time Rodtang steps foot under the bright lights, and this will be another chance for him to shine.
Rodtang, one of the world’s most exciting athletes in any sport, continues his quest for two-sport gold. A victory may put him in position to be the top challenger for the gold as he reigns over the flyweight Muay Thai division.
The remainder of the main card will be rounded out by quarterfinal action of 2021’s ONE Featherweight World Grand Prix.
The first-round matchups feature Enriko Kehl vs. Davit Kiria, Samy Sana vs. Chingiz Allazov, Sitthichai vs. Tayfun Ozcan, and Marat Grigorian vs. Andy Souwer.
The star-studded line-up is a jaw-dropping way to kickstart the tournament and set up more potential dream matchups in the absolutely loaded featherweight division. 2021 promises to close out in a memorable fashion and bring mouth-watering anticipation into 2022.
But the fun starts well before the main card with a four-bout lead card that will see bantamweight Muay Thai action leading the way. Tawanchai PK.Saenchai Muaythaigym and Saemapetch Fairtex collide in a bout that you absolutely cannot miss before the action shifts to the main card.
ONE: First Strike will get your fall started off on the right foot. Fans of the striking arts will be pushed to the edge of their seats with a jam-packed card of the world’s greatest strikers who are looking to leave an impression on the world.
