The UFC is back in the Apex for a fight night card headlined by two fighters who are always looking to end their shift early in Thiago Santos and Johnny Walker. While Santos and Walker are coming into this fight with a combined record of 1-5 in their last six matchups, that doesn’t mean fight fans shouldn’t be excited about this matchup.

Santos himself is on a three-fight skid that started with the Jon Jones title loss that also saw him fight with two blown-out knees, and it seems that may have been a worse decision for his long-term success. He followed that up with a loss to Glover Texiera via rear-naked choke and then a decision loss to Aleksander Rakic back in May, so his back is up against the wall if he ever plans to contend for the title again.

For Walker, he is coming off a win over Ryan Spann which was uber impressive but before that he lost a decision to Nikita Krylov and a KO loss to Corey Anderson. Both of those losses are nothing to be too upset about for Walker, but losing is something he doesn’t want to make a habit of, especially early in a career that started out as well as he did.

The rest of the main card is made up of even more fan-friendly bouts highlighted by Kevin Holland against Kyle Daukaus and Niko Price versus Alex Oliviera in two super exciting matchups of well-known names to fans but also four fighters with something to prove heading into tonight.
