UFC Vegas 41 Betting Tips

UFC Vegas 41 is headlined by a middleweight clash between Paulo Costa and Marvin Vettori. Israel Adesanya has recently dominated both men in title bouts, meaning this main event slot represents an important fight if either one is to remain in the title picture. That being said, here are some UFC Vegas 41 betting tips to help you win big this weekend.

UFC Vegas 41 Betting Tips

Paulo Costa to win outright (+115)

Paulo Costa (13-1) will be looking to bounce back from his first career loss against fellow contender Marvin Vettori (17-5-1). The bout should play out as a classic striker vs. grappler matchup and promises fireworks from the outset.

Vettori will undoubtedly try to drag Costa to the matt with minimal delay on Saturday. “The Italian Dream” is a top wrestler with strong finishing instincts on the ground, with nine of his seventeen wins coming by way of submission. Vettori has been the full 25 minutes in all three of his last bouts, which indicates that his cardio should be superior to Costa, who has never even entered the championship rounds. Vettori also showed improved striking when he outboxed Jack Hermansson, but Costa represents a very different calibre of striker.

Paulo Costa is one of the most fearsome fighters in the middleweight division, with a whopping 92% finish rate throughout his career. The Brazillian combines one-punch knockout power with the ability to swarm opponents with strikes after softening up the midsection, a nightmare for any opponent. Costa will not be the easiest to take down, as he demonstrated by limiting Olympic wrestling silver medalist Yoel Romero to 1/4 takedowns in their contest. “Borrachinha” should be able to outclass Vettori whilst the fight remains standing and as long as his cardio holds up and he is able to stuff most takedown attempts.

If it wasn’t for the fact that Vettori has never been finished, Costa by KO would be an excellent choice for these recommendations. However, considering the fact that his chin has held up throughout his career, simply backing Costa to win outright is a solid first pick of these UFC Vegas 41 betting tips.

Francisco Trinaldo to win outright (-120)

Francisco Trinaldo 26-8 faces Dwight Grant (11-3) in a welterweight scrap. With a combined age of 80, it will be entertaining to see the two veterans face off inside the octagon.

Grant is hard to read as a striker. With seven of his eleven victories coming by way of KO, it is obvious that he carries legitimate power and should be firing at will on the feet. However, he has been proven to be gun shy throughout his UFC tenure and low-output striking has been his downfall as of late. Furthermore, he seriously gassed out in a first-round loss against Daniel Rodriguez, casting doubt over the adequacy of his cardio over high-level opposition.

Furthermore, Trinaldo has looked better than ever in recent bouts. A stunning KO over British prospect Jai Herbert was followed by a razor-tight loss to a great striker in Muslim Salikhov. Since moving up to welterweight, Trinaldo’s cardio has looked far more impressive whilst his striking is as crisp as ever. Trinaldo always piles on the pressure, and this could easily overwhelm Grant if he doesn’t earn some respect early.

Trinaldo’s striking defence has always been slightly lax and he will have to ensure that he doesn’t leave any counter openings open for Grant. That being said, Trinaldo carries good value as a narrow favourite and is, therefore, the second inclusion on these UFC Vegas 41 betting tips.
