For the fifth week in a row, Combate Global takes center stage in Miami, Florida, with an eight-bout MMA event in store for fight fans on Friday night. The show will be live on Paramount+ starting at 10:30pm ET/7:30pm PT, with two lightweight prospects going head-to-head in the main event.

Main Event: Escobar vs. Sanchez

Levi Escobar (2-0) has been with Combate since his amateur days, where he won his last fight before turning professional in 2018. The undefeated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt has been victorious in the two fights he’s had in his pro career.

He faces a talented Mexican boxer in Daniel Sanchez (2-1), who lost on his Combate Global debut two months ago against Eric Alequin. Sanchez is also a professional boxer and only started his MMA career in March, with two first-round finishes in his first two fights.

Featured Fights

Former UFC athlete Erick Montano (8-6) makes his Combate Global debut, in his first appearance in the cage since September 2019. The Mexican was the winner of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 2, but was released after two defeats inside three fights in the promotion.

He faces another experienced fighter now on the Combate Global roster, Mark Martin (6-1). Martin has quality wrestling skills, and is currently on a five-fight win streak, with three wins a row in LFA before joining Combate Global.

The other main-card fight sees undefeated Ismael Zamora (1-0) return to the cage after his debut win over Gustavo Navarette three months ago. He faces Saul Tijerina Estrada (0-0), who makes his pro debut on Friday night at 135lbs.

Five-Fight Preliminary Card

Chris Renteria (1-0) looks to earn his second career victory after winning back in June. He makes his Combate Global debut against Mexico’s Alexander Sanchez (2-2) at lightweight.

Rodrigo Garcia (2-1) makes his third appearance in Combate as he looks to extend his two-fight win streak over Richard Pabon (0-0), who makes his pro debut at 125lbs.

Justin Vazquez (6-2) is back in the cage for the second time this year, as he makes his Combate Global debut against Aruba’s own Gego Kelly (2-2), who also makes his promotional debut.

Two of the most experienced fighters on the card, Titan FC veterans Wascar Cruz (12-7) and Shojin Miki (7-8), face-off. Cruz is looking to find his second win inside the promotion, whilst Miki will look to snap a two-fight skid.

Sam Kilmer (1-0) was victorious via unanimous decision last month, and he already returns to face an upcoming prospect in the lightweight division, Alex Quirasco (0-0), who like a few others, makes his pro debut on Friday night.
